Recruitment Events Welcome! The Recruitment & Workforce Planning unit of the Chicago Public Schools (CPS) welcomes you to participate in our 2008-2009 events. Each year, we work diligently to bring you exciting and informative events that will support your employment endeavors and provide valuable insight into the CPS. CPS Information Sessions Do you have questions about joining the Chicago Public Schools? Are you curious about what to expect as a new candidate? Recruitment & Workforce Planning hosts several information sessions throughout the year to offer general guidance and direction to new candidates. We have addressed the most frequently asked questions regarding these events, processes and preparation. Please take a moment to review them. CPS Virtual Information Sessions In addition to the in-person sessions, RWP now offers virtual teacher information sessions. Virtual sessions provide the same information, but allow candidates to participate via their own computers. Virtual and in-person teacher information sessions are held on a regular basis. Due to an overwhelming response, we require candidates to register for Information Sessions. The Chicago Public Schools hosts several recruitment fairs during the spring/summer months to assist certified teachers in securing a school-based teaching position. Typically these events provide certified teacher candidates the opportunity to meet directly with hiring representatives from a variety of schools across the city of Chicago. At this time we are assessing the needs of the district to determine the number of fairs we will host for the 2010-11 school year. Please check back frequently as we will continue to update our schedule of fairs in the coming months. All venues meet the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements.
