The Recruitment & Workforce Planning unit of the Chicago Public Schools (CPS) welcomes you to participate in our 2007-2008 events. Each year, we work diligently to bring you exciting and informative events that will support your employment endeavors and provide valuable insight into the CPS.

CPS Information Sessions

Do you have questions about joining the Chicago Public Schools? Are you curious about what to expect as a new candidate? Recruitment & Workforce Planning hosts several information sessions throughout the year to offer general guidance and direction to new candidates.

When and where are the Information Sessions held?



Our 2007-2008 fall series of Information Sessions will be held at 125 S. Clark Street on the 15th Floor. Click here for a full schedule of events and exact room locations.

Do I need to register for Information Sessions?

Yes. Due to an overwhelming response, we require candidates to register for Information Sessions.  Click here to send an email to Recruitment & Workforce Planning indicating the date and time of the session you are interested in attending. A confirmation email will be sent.

Certified Teacher Career Fairs

Year after year, the Chicago Public Schools look for highly qualified, certified teachers to guide our future leaders to academic excellence. Recruitment & Workforce Planning hosts several large scale job fairs throughout our recruitment season (January–August). These fairs will give you an opportunity to:

When and where are the Career Fairs held?

McCormick Place-West Building*

Job Fair:
12:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Career Fair registration ends prompty at 3:00 p.m.

Parking is available for a fee of $17.00 in Lot A, located at the southwest corner of Cermak Road & Martin Luther King Drive. The Career Fair is also convenient to CTA Bus Routes #3 and #4. CTA drop-off is located at the main entrance to the South Building on Martin Luther King Drive. The Career Fair and keynote speaker will take place in the West Building, which is directly across the street from the CTA drop-off. For further directions to the event, please visit www.mccormickplace.com or www.transitchicago.com. The RTA Travel Information Center provides information for all CTA, Metra and PACE at 312-836-7000 or www.rtachicago.com.

“Discover CPS” Bus Tours

Our bus tours are a unique approach to enjoying and experiencing the Chicago Public Schools, staff and neighborhood communities. Since their inception in 2002, the "Discover CPS" Tours have continually grown in popularity. The new and improved tours are enlightening, exciting 1-day and 3-day experiences that include teacher recruitment information sessions, school visits and more!

When are the bus tours?
