CPS is committed to attracting the most competent student teachers from Chicago-area universities, as well as in-state and out-of-state schools of education, by offering support through the final phases of the traditional teacher preparation process. If you are enrolled in a traditional teacher preparation program and are interested in becoming a student teacher in CPS, you are required to obtain university approval, complete all the required coursework/clinical hours and be enrolled in a student-teaching course before submitting your application to CPS.
