How to Get Started

Complete the CPS NBC Pre-Candidacy Registration Form. On this form, please designate which two day session you will attend. Once you attend the two day pre-candidacy session, and successfully submit your written assignment from the course in the allotted time period, you will be invited to join the CPS NBC Support Program.

Pre-Candidacy is intended to give teachers a head start on the National Board Certification (NBC) process before they officially enroll as candidates.

Pre-Candidacy sessions have been scheduled on the following dates. *
  • March 18 & 19 (Section 5571) 4:30 – 7:30 pm @ NBC Resource Center Talcott Academy (1840 W. Ohio)

  • April 6 (Section 5572) 8:30 am – 2:30 pm @ Elizabeth Training Facility (320 N. Elizabeth) - 4th Floor commons area

  • April 8 (Section 5573) 8:30 am – 2:30 pm @ Elizabeth Training Facility (320 N. Elizabeth) - 4th Floor commons area
