The Chicago Public Schools (CPS), Office of Substitute Services will have an open enrollment for individuals with a Bachelor's degree or higher in fields other than education, and who have not completed student-teaching. Click here if you are a certified teacher, or if you have a degree in education with student-teaching completed. Due to an Overwhelming Response, the Substitute Teacher Application Deadline has been Extended Through July 21, 2008. Individuals interested in becoming a substitute teacher with the CPS must complete and successfully pass the SubAssessment, an online Substitute Teacher Training Program*, before initiating the application process for substitute teaching. About the SubAssessment Substitute Teacher Training Program SubAssessment: Availability The SubAssessment is available now. Cost The cost of the SubAssessment Substitute Teacher Training Program is $39.95, plus shipping. Applicants can pay online by using a credit card, or by mail with a check or money order made out to STI/USU and mailed to 6516 Old Main Hill, Logan, Utah, 84322-6516. Candidates who order by mail should print the order form from the website and mail along with their payment. Please be advised that STI/USU will not ship to P.O. Boxes.
